Space Trip - Triptych

The world outside is fun, busy, and confusing. The more the world gets complicated, the more emotions get tangled up in my mind, but over time they disappear, because it only exists during that moment. And they will come back again at unexpected times and places. I am trying to express my emotions on a canvas to remember what I was feeling during that moment.
I find myself exploring new places wherever I go. Everything around me that caught my eye becomes my inspiration. I like to draw freely with my imagination when I come up with interesting feelings and ideas. Then that area becomes different than what it used to be. Visualizing the feeling of the moment begins with selecting and combining images from the photos I took. I look for something that grabs my attention in the photos and choose a few simple lines that consist of the image as the basis for my painting. Starting with a few simple lines, I compose the canvas with organic and geometric shapes, balanced colours and tones, and bold marks and textures. These are all in harmony, representing my impressions of the memories and refreshing my feelings. It is more like looking into the world through my own filter and finding the beauty in this puzzled world in my own way.
My memories that cannot be expressed in words are naturally drawn on the canvas. While I paint, I feel the emotions that I felt at that time and express them as textures on my painting. I layer, build, scratch, and scribble on the surface of a canvas to expose the history of my work. These traces of memories bring their own stories to the viewers.
During the pandemic, I have started to contain my memories of the city and the natural scenery seen from a distance on my painting. The impression of the light and colour in the scenery passing by me becomes a motive for me to design my new world that I want to explore. In this exhibition, my paintings contain the stories of traveling between my memories and imaginations. I changed the real space into a new imaginary world, and if you follow the traces and the flow of lines of my paintings, you may feel like you have entered a new space. I hope to share my memories and feelings and take you to the world filtered by my imagination.
