#Scarborough Spotlight on Wandy Cheng

This week’s #ScarboroughSpotlight is on Scarborough-based artist, Wandy Cheng! Cheng is a multidisciplinary illustrator from Hong Kong whose work embodies contrasting textures and repeated patterns through various creative outputs, including ceramics, paper-cut and public art. Her work is vibrant, colourful and often inspired by architectures, geometry and environments. In recent years, her illustration can be seen both on the streets of the city and within the pages of international publications.

Reflecting on her relationship with Scarborough and the arts community, she shares “I’ve been a member of Scarborough Arts for several years, and am always grateful for the resources, connections, exhibition and professional development opportunities that it offers for Scarborough artists. I am honoured to have been able to participate in Discover Agincourt: A Public Arts & Culture Walking Tour as a guest speaker, and I look forward to learning more about Scarborough communities from the dedicated team at Scarborough Arts!”
