Photographers from INTERSECTIONS Featured on OMNI Filipino

Incredibly proud of photographers, Jeremy Fegarido and Kyle Jarencio, of our INTERSECTIONS Photography and Public Art Series for being featured on OMNI Filipino last Tuesday. In their interview with OMNI, the two FIlipino Canadian photographers discuss the value of sharing their work within public space in Scarborough, the borough that raised them, as well as discuss the elements of identity and storytelling that shaped their respective pieces.

Many thanks to the team at OMNI Filipino and Keisha Balatbat for sharing the work of these two incredible artists!

INTERSECTIONS is a Public Art exhibition that explores the ways in which our regional and geographical locations interact and intertwine with our social memory. This City of Toronto Cultural Hotspot Signature Project and ShowLoveTO initiative features works from 6 emerging Scarborough photographers with mentorship and curation provided by Anthony Gebrehiwot of XVXY Photo.

INTERSECTIONS is on at Kennedy & Scarborough Centre TTC Stations from November 12th, 2021 to January 12th, 2022.
