On August 17th, Scarborough Arts will be celebrating at the WexPOPS: Summer Bloom Fest for the opening of Wexford POPs! We will also have a featured artist facilitator joining us: Jamera Dacosta aka “Just J. Art”! 🌸

Jamera is a multidisciplinary artist, born and raised in Scarborough. Her artistic background includes many art forms including digital illustrations, acrylic, and oil pastel paintings. The journey she embarks on extends beyond individual expression as she has facilitated painting classes with adults and continues to develop in her role as an art coordinator with community organizations. Engaging people through visual arts, she finds fulfillment in nurturing minds and encouraging them to embrace their imagination and think outside of the box.
Her appreciation for nature, music, and spirituality fuel inspiration for the work she creates. Through her art brand Just J. Art and interactions with the community, Jamera continues to encourage the audience to see all ideas in new perspectives.

Jamera will be hosting a terracotta pot painting workshop centered around themes of creativity, community, environment and connectedness. Supplies for the workshop will be provided and participants can take home their creation!
