All That Is Golden

As part of the City of Toronto's Cultural Hotspot programming 2022, Scarborough Arts is pleased to present, "All That is Golden," a dedication to the Golden Mile in Scarborough! As the title indicates, this project plays on this concept: the Golden Mile - described as a barron, dull, big-box store, and industrial-focused area - does shine through the communities of people that make it a unique destination neighborhood in Toronto. Our project highlights the art and public art, cultures, foods, comforts, and services available in the region, and all necessary for the well-being of locals.

This year, we’re proud to introduce three artists to represent three wonderful local businesses in the Golden Mile area! Destinie Adelakun's (@destinieadelakun) work can be seen at Barans (@baransrestaurant). Camila Wong's (@comilart) work can be seen at Chachi’s (@chachischai). Myuri Srikugan's (@myuri.s) work can be seen at Vinushan’s @vinushanbakery .

What an exciting way to appreciate art while dropping in on your favourite local eateries?! Our project highlights the art and public art, cultures, foods, comforts, and services available in the region, and all necessary for the well-being of locals. And stay tuned for Sneha Ravichandran’s post to be featured later this month!

These unique installations will be on view till November 30 and you can learn more about this event here!
