Acrylic Painting: the Power of Colour | COMMUNITY+Connects with Workman Arts

Acrylic Painting: The Power of Colour by Frannie Pots will guide participants through the creation of five acrylic paintings in a step-by-step manner, from sketching to completion. Create your own masterpieces including landscapes, still life and portraits.

As the days get shorter and the leaves fall off of the trees, colour can make a real impact on our daily lives and well-being. Participants will have the opportunity to deepen their understanding of colour-mixing and colour theory, with discussion surrounding how certain colours make us feel + their effect on our mental health.

Each lesson in this series is inspired by the beauty of Scarborough and can be altered by the artist to create a unique work for their portfolio.

This course is intended for emerging artists looking to develop their technical painting skills, colour therapy and/or colour theory application. Folks who are beginner levels and/or professional artists are also welcome to take part.

*Please note to register for this course you must live in Scarborough.
