📢 We invite you to join us for Niya Abdullahi’s course ‘Experimental Filmmaking’! 📽️
This is a Scarborough Arts + Workman Arts Satellite Program! @intenti0

🗓️ DATES: Mondays, October 7th - November 11th
⏰ TIMES: 2 - 4pm
📍 LOCATION: Zoom (online)

This is an immersive workshop-series into the world of experimental filmmaking. These workshops would be an opportunity to learn the ins and out of making an out-of-this-world film on a micro budget. We'll explore different approaches and methodologies while also recognizing that there is no concrete way to make experimental films. What makes this form of film groundbreaking is the experiments in your own processes themselves. There is no one way of doing things and that's the beauty of it. Participants will be taught the ins-and-outs of script-writing, shooting and editing. They will be working towards bringing a short film idea to life and by the end of the course they'll have an opportunity to share their completed or works-in-progress films with the class. The only materials needed is a smartphone as we will be using our phones to shoot and edit the films.

The workshop would be open to only BIPOC folks.

Access Notes: There will be an active listener present for all Workman Arts + Scarborough Arts Satellite programming.

Should you require any assistance with registration please reach out to Faith Rajasingham (Program Coordinator at Scarborough Arts) for support: faith@scarborougharts.com
