When: Weekly, Tuesdays, June 18th - 23rd
Time: 6pm - 9pm
Location: In-person - West Scarborough Neighbourhood Community Centre (313 Pharmacy Ave, Scarborough, ON M1L 3E7)

About the program: Tatreez: Existence is Resistance is a 6-week course, focused on teaching the basics of traditional Palestinian embroidery (tatreez) and celebrating the rich history of Palestinian tatreez. We will discuss the importance of tatreez in Palestinian culture as a form of expression, community building, and resistance. Through two hands-on projects, students will gain a deeper understanding of what tatreez is, its most common symbolism and how to independently prepare, create, and execute basic tatreez patterns

Participants will be provided with all materials necessary for the duration of the program.

This program is supported by our community partner, West Scarborough Neighbourhood Community Centre.
