By Way Of Community: A Scarborough Symposium

We are excited to present, By Way of Community, a Scarborough Symposium focusing on panel-based discussions on the significance of the Arts. We will be hosting three panels to speak on behalf of promoting arts within lived experiences, community gentrification, and the pleasures of the culinary world. Join us as we unpack the tension between preserving art from the past and creating space for new developments to emerge.

Panel 1: Hidden Histories: The Erasure of Art Hubs & Community, 9:50 am - 11 am.
Panel 2: A Taste of Art: Preserving Our Cultures and Identities Through Food, 11 am - 12:10 pm.
Panel 3: Health, Wellness and Community Arts, 1:30 pm - 2:40 pm.

Location: Scarborough Civic Centre, Council Chambers
Date: Saturday, October 15, 2022.
Time: Doors Open at 9 am, Opening Remarks at 9:40 am, Lunch at 12:30-1:30 pm, and Closing Remarks at 4 pm. Accessibility and ASL Will Be Made Available.
