COMMUNITY+Connects with Workman Arts

We are excited to announce that we will be partnering with Workman Arts to introduce a series of new COMMUNITY+Connects: Online workshops funded by and made possible thanks to the Slaight Family Foundation.

As you may know, COMMUNITY+Connects: Online includes a range of creative and professional development workshops that aim to provide audiences of all ages and skill levels with free access to arts-based skill building from renowned Scarborough and GTA-based creative professionals.

Over the past year, social isolation in individuals with mental health issues have become more prevalent than ever, and so have the lack of opportunities to build lasting social connections through meaningful engagement outside of the mainstream mental health system. Therefore our COMMUNITY+Connects with Workman Arts series will be introducing high-quality art programs across all disciplines, facilitated by instructors with lived experience of mental health and/or addiction issues to tackle these prevalent issues. This partnership fits into a unique space within the mental health sector, where the arts and mental health benefits come hand in hand to serve our purpose.

You can find the programs here or through our events page.
