On the evening of November nineteenth 2009, a new and exciting cross-disciplinary collaboration took place at the Doris McCarthy Gallery, at the University of Toronto Scarborough campus. Scarborough Arts Council members were invited to participate in an interactive evening entitled, Words and Images. Following a talk by exhibiting Canadian artist Ellen Moffat, eleven SAC member-artists presented newly created works of visual art executed in a variety of media. Using this artwork as their inspiration, poets Elana Wolff, Sheila Stewart and John Oughton collaborated to create unique poetic responses to each piece. The evening was entertaining and enlightening for all, ushering in a new inter-disciplinary SAC event.

Location: Doris McCarthy Gallery, University of Toronto Scarborough, 1265 Military Trail, Toronto, ON.
