ABOUT THE SCARBOROUGH SIGN

The Scarborough Sign is a mobile public art installation that showcases and brings together Scarborough’s diverse communities.

From May to November 2019, a large-scale SCARBOROUGH sign (36’ wide x 5’ tall) will travel to seven different locations including Fool’s Paradise, Agincourt Mall, Albert Campbell Square, Guild Park and Gardens, Wexford, University of Toronto Scarborough, and Scarborough Southwest. The Sign will also make an appearance at Scarborough’s major arts and cultural events including Canada Day, Guild Alive with Culture, Taste of Lawrence, ARTSIDEOUT, and Nuit Blanche 2019.

The Scarborough Sign was first launched in the summer of 2018 in partnership with the City of Toronto’s Cultural Hotspot project and the Department of Arts, Culture, and Media at the University of Toronto Scarborough
