Get the inside scoop on how to write a successful grant application! The Doris McCarthy Gallery, in partnership with Scarborough Arts, invites Scarborough artists to participate in an information session with Peter Kingstone, Visual/Media Arts Officer at the Toronto Arts Council.
Kingstone will provide a brief overview of grant programs and an exchange on the application process. He will walk participants through the steps involved in writing a grant, sharing perspective and tips on building a narrative, addressing audience, and submitting documentation and other support material.

Scarborough Arts Meet Ups are a series of spontaneous get-togethers for artists and the community. These free evening sessions are open to residents of all ages and will support creative activity in the community, building networks and encouraging collaboration.
A further aim of the Meet Ups is to cultivate and expand the Scarborough Arts community of artists, volunteers and creative individuals. The 2012 activities will capitalize on the skills and experiences of staff members, encouraging opportunities for staff to connect with community members from all backgrounds.
*All meetups are held at Scarborough Arts (1859 Kingston Road) and are FREE! Everyone is welcome. No experience necessary.
