Summer takes off at Scarborough Arts’ Bluffs Gallery with a fresh exhibition and great events for all ages in July and August! Whether you are a visual artist or you want to participate in an event, read on…there’s something for everyone!

In addition to a new summer exhibition, we are hosting three *free* great happenings in the Bluffs Gallery for kids, families, and professional and amateur visual artists. All events take place at 1859 Kingston Road, east of Birchmount. RSVP’s are advised for all the Bluffs Gallery Summer Happenings – see each event for details.

Kidz Kamp - July 15, 2015 - 6 to 8 pm
School’s out for the summer, kids! Come and get your hands dirty at this fun-filled evening featuring a variety of artistic activities for our young friends (and parents too!): face painting, papiermâché arts, tote bag decorating, a stencilling workshop, plus other fun stuff!

Performance at the Park - August 12, 2015

Bring your friends, family, and picnic blankets out to our first-ever Performance at the Park! Watch special performances by Canadian singer-songwriter Blitz Kawaja; by pop, reggae, and R&B cover musicians from the Port United Band; plus other special guests! The evening will be hosted by hip-hop artist Dan-e-o, with Ash Jahromi spinning beats.

It doesn’t stop there! The evening will also feature local performers for our Open Mic Night segment. There will be food and refreshments, arts activities for the whole family, door prizes, and loads of entertainment in store for you!

Bluffs Gallery, 1859 Kingston Road

Paint Night - August 25, 2015

Join us next Tuesday for our really popular Paint Night – a social and creative evening where you can explore the 12” x 12” dimensions in acrylic, gouache, or watercolour. Painters of all skill levels are invited to participate in this evening. Artist and art educator Krystyna Czereyska will facilitate the evening’s painting activities, and host and deejay Jase Cozmic from G5 Canadian Urban will spin all night long.

This is a free 19+ event and registration is required. To register, contact Susan at 416-698-7322. Some art materials will be provided.
