Scarborough Arts announces the Scarborough Design Competition 2017
Scarborough Arts invites you to submit an iconic Scarborough design for the Scarborough Design Competition!
Scarborough is a truly unique part of the GTA. It has countless reputations, nicknames, and icons. We want to highlight all that Scarborough is and proudly represent this vibrant part of the city.
So, we are reaching out to you to capture the essence of Scarborough! The Scarborough Design Competition seeks to encourage your creativity and participation around the community. The winning applicant will receive a $500 prize and the design will be used on future Scarborough Arts merchandise. The two runners up will receive a $200 prize and also have their designs featured on Scarborough Arts’ new merchandise and marketing materials. There is no entry free for this competition.
The contest officially opens on May 1 and closes on July 1 at 11:59 PM EST.
We are looking for a design that says/represents Scarborough! It does not have to include the word “Scarborough,” but it also can! Text elements are not required but are an option, as are designs independent of text. We ask that you think on your personal experience in addition to the known and recognizable characteristics and landmarks of Scarborough.
You can take inspiration from:
– The Bluffs
– Scarborough musicians
– The Rouge
– The LRT
– Toronto Zoo
