Healthy Arts for Seniors: Call for Participants
Scarborough Arts invites seniors aged 55+ who are interested in cooking, recipe-sharing, photography, and/or storytelling to apply to our Healthy Arts for Seniors program!
Healthy Arts for Seniors (HAFS) is a FREE annual storytelling program presented by Scarborough Arts, in partnership with the East Scarborough Storefront and Agincourt Community Services Association. This year, HAFS will explore photography, storytelling, and culinary arts, in addition to making a Cultural Cookbook!
For 12 sessions between the months of September and October, participants will be in the kitchen exploring their culture and heritage through cooking, recipe-sharing, and photography and storytelling workshops. At the end of the program, photographs, recipes, and stories will be collected and published in a print cookbook and showcased at a launch event.
No previous experience in photography, cooking, or storytelling necessary!
We will be hosting two programs: one for newcomers and refugees* and another for English and Mandarin-speaking participants. Please follow the respective links below to apply:
You can also download the application forms as PDF versions and email it to hello [at] scarborougharts.com or mail / hand-deliver it to:
