Healthy Arts for Seniors 2020: Cultural Cookbook
Call for Newcomer and Refugee Participants

Scarborough Arts invites newcomer and refugee seniors aged 55+ who are interested in cooking, recipe-sharing, photography, and/or storytelling to apply to our Healthy Arts for Seniors program!

Healthy Arts for Seniors (HAFS) is a FREE annual storytelling program presented by Scarborough Arts, and in partnership with the East Scarborough Storefront, the Council of Agencies Serving South Asians, and the Agincourt Community Services Association. This year, HAFS will explore photography, storytelling, and culinary arts, in addition to making a Cultural Cookbook!

For 12 sessions between January 24th to February 28th at the East Scarborough Storefront, participants will be exploring their culture and heritage through cooking, recipe-sharing, and photography and storytelling workshops. At the end of the program, photographs, recipes, and stories will be collected and published in a print cookbook and showcased at a launch event.

No previous experience in photography, cooking, or storytelling necessary!

No previous experience in photography, cooking, or storytelling necessary!
