Yearbook (at 401 Richmond)
Yearbooks are honest and personal recollections of history. Their stories depict the social and political climate of the times and recount tales of youth that transcend technological advancements.
This exhibit explores over 80 years of Scarborough’s history through yearbooks – combining the past and present to reveal the beauty and diversity of Scarborough. All of the artwork displayed was produced by students of Scarborough’s past. These carefully selected pieces aim to inspire a renewed appreciation for the art, fashion and growing diversity captured by Toronto’s citizens.
Originally curated by Reese de Guzman and Scarborough Arts for the 2016 Myseum Intersections festival, YEARBOOK has been re-imagined for the Myseum Hub space at 401 Richmond. The yearbooks on display have been generously provided by Scarborough Archives.
Catch the Yearbook exhibit until March 1, 2017. Hours are Mondays to Fridays, 11 AM to 6 PM.
