East 7: Healthy Relationships Through Music is a free youth-led music and sexual health program for BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Colour) women and women-identifying* youth [16-24] in Scarborough. 

Are you a passionate BIPOC woman or woman-identifying person with an interest in gaining leadership experience? Are you interested in mentoring others with and through art? Do you want to learn more about how to execute an arts program in your community, or how to connect your community through art? 

If so, Scarborough Arts is looking for you!

We are currently hiring dynamic, energetic and passionate Youth Coordinator and two (2) Peer Mentors for our  7th annual East Program: EAST: Healthy Relationships Through Music – A Resiliency Program.

 *This program is for women and people who self-identify as women. We use an inclusive definition of “woman”, which welcomes trans-women, genderqueer women, and non-binary people.

Youth Coordinator

Position: Youth Coordinator
Compensation: $20.00/hour
Term: 14 hours per week for 45 weeks 
Interview Dates: October 8 – 10 
Start Date: October 15

Are you a woman or woman-identifying, BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, or Person of Colour) youth (aged 24-30) with experience in song writing, music production, and performance techniques, and have an interest in cultivating knowledge around sexual health? If so, apply to the Youth Coordinator position!

Peer Mentors (2)

Positions: Peer Mentor
Compensation: $15/hour
Term: 4 hours per week for 45 weeks 
Interview Times: October 21 – 22
Start Date: October 25

Are you a woman or woman-identifying, BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, or Person of Colour) youth (aged 16-24) and have an interest in mentoring peers on topics such as music production and sexual health? If so, apply to the Peer Mentors position!
