EAST is calling for youth between the ages of 15 to 19 who are interested in videography and new media documentation for the EAST Documentary Collective!
Presented by Scarborough Arts, EAST is a project creating a buzz and attracting attention from aspiring young musicians, new media journalists and youth interested in getting into the arts and entertainment industry. EAST is made up of three components: Project Management Collective, Music Collective and Documentary Collective.
EAST Documentary Collective is a collaborative project where members will learn how to use a DSLR for videography, storyboard, and shoot and edit documentaries and music videos. Basic equipment is provided. The new Documentary Collective will begin late March and will run until August 2013.

For the past nine years, Scarborough Arts has hosted “Art in the Park”, our annual outdoor Art Show & Sale at the Harrison Estate grounds.
As we continue to grow and develop as an organization, we are constantly searching for new partnership opportunities and fruitful collaborations.
It is with great enthusiasm that we announce a new partnership with the Midland Park Community Association which hosts Birkdale Art in the Park! With this new partnership, We will no longer be hosting Art in the Park here at Scarborough Arts, but joining our members and art community at the beautiful Birkdale parkland venue.
Together with the support and promotional assistance of Scarborough Arts, the Midland Park Community Association will present Birkdale Art in the Park, 2013.

All dance and movement beginners, novices and movement phobic folk are welcomed to attend this fun, energetic “no judgement zone” designed to get you to reconnect with you. “If you can walk you can dance” and this is the philosophy of your laughter loving instructor Tamla Matthews who will have you impressing yourself with just how far you can stretch, how low you can go and how much creativity you really have pent up in your body. Bring water, a large towel or mat. Footwear is optional but please note that this is an outdoor class with music.
